As these axes are all hand etched, carved, stained, finished, and wrapped they will each also be a bit unique.

Bears are a symbol of immense power in the Viking world, a totem of gods and berserkers. The face of the bear engraved upon this axe is a compound symbol, the Uruz on his forehead for strength, the Aegishjalmur on one eye for victory, and the Vegvisir on the other for stability. the haft is engraved with runes which read - "I am the ground that shakes"

The handle is American Hickory, the head is drop forged 1055 carbon steel.

These axes are fully functional, designed to be very strong. That said, use in a camp setting may mar the finish. This would be a cosmetic issue though, and would not reduce functionality.

The head has not been sharpened past the factory edge, so that the axe can be used as part of a costume should you so desire. This does not mean that it does not have an edge though, so take care!
